Who we are: Our name is DonorDirect because 100% of donors’ contributions go directly to the need. We are a small-scale no-frills nonprofit whose volunteer board members also serve as our unpaid staff.

“Tide Me Over” LENDING Fund:

We make small one-time interest-free crisis-prevention loans to qualified citizens who live or work in the Roaring Fork Valley. As repaid, the money is folded back into the Fund. Talk about recycling!

The potential borrower completes a detailed application and release of credit information to DonorDirect. If qualified and approved, DonorDirect pays up to $1,500 directly to the provider of such essentials as housing, food, health care, clothing, and/or transportation for which the borrower signs a Promissory Note to repay the loan within 24 months.

As of May 2008, DonorDirect has made 130 “Tide Me Over” crisis-prevention loans totaling $106,764 to benefit 156 children, 110 women, and 64 men.
